I do love my Gibson Cocktail, and this is part of my continuing search to find the perfect gin for it.

I like Tanqueray gin in my cocktail so when I saw a pricier version, I knew I had to give it a try.

Sipping it neat showed it to be a premium gin. It has a crisp clean gin background with great botanical flavours. The flavours are a nice taste that remind me of quality herb blends. However, for this gin, the big attraction is the clean fresh taste.

Mixing it into my Gibson, it complements the vermouth and makes a smooth cocktail. I really enjoyed it.

The Verdict

This is definitely a quality gin that you will enjoy. However, I don’t know if it is worth the extra money. It is better than the basic Tanqueray but I don’t think I would spend the extra money. That being said, if a crisp gin taste is important to you, this is a good choice.
