A friend is joining us for Easter Dinner. A cocktail is required. I went for a classic Whisky Sour.
This is a favourite drink from my past. It is easy to make and very tasty.
Just put 50 ml (1/4 cup) of whisky, 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fresh lemon juice and 20 ml ( 1 1/2 tablespoons) of simple syrup (2 parts sugar and one part water mixed and heated until dissolved) in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled. Pour over ice cubes in a highball glass, add a maraschino and serve.
The Verdict
The smoky whisky with the tart lemon are smoothed by the sugar syrup. A nice refreshing cocktail. Give it a try!
