As noted in the prior post, we were looking for a quick, easy meal. One of our favourites is a grilled pork chop. I had been wanting to try the Louisiana Grills Tennessee Apple Butter seasonings I had.
I preheated the Louisiana Grills pellet smoker to 400 F. I sprinkled a generous layer of the seasonings on both sides of the chops.
When the smoker had reached 400 F, I put the chops on the grill and cooked for 5 minutes. Then I flipped them and put another sprinkle of the seasoning on them.
I cooked for 5 minutes on the other side to bring the internal temperature of the chops to 165 F.
I served them with Chophouse Grilled Potatoes and a nice spinach salad.
The Verdict
The Tennessee Apple Butter isn’t your normal barbecue seasoning. It has a nice sweet taste and little spiciness. This is the seasoning for people who want to taste the pork. The sweetness enhances the pork without overpowering it. I quite liked it.
