I love Cajun flavours. Many people think they are spicy, but the real deal has a touch of heat and a lot of flavour. This is my homage to the Cajun flavours. It is a seasoning mix that can be added to other dishes or used as a BBQ rub.
Mix the following:
- 12 ml (2 ½ teaspoon) paprika
- 10 ml (2 teaspoons) garlic powder
- 10 ml (2 teaspoons) Kosher salt
- 8 ml (1 ½ teaspoon) coarse pepper
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) oregano
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) onion powder
- 4 ml (¾ teaspoon) dried thyme
- 3 ml (½ teaspoon) dried parsley
- 3 ml (½ teaspoon) cayenne
Put them in a fancy container with hand calligraphy.
The Verdict:
This a full flavoured seasoning that has a touch of heat and complex flavours. I love Cajun food and this spice gives great flavours from that cuisine.
