Not A Successful Experiment

Breaded Salmon 2

We had some wild Pink salmon fillets. Not the best salmon but still tasty. I have coated salmon with potato flakes and liked it so I decided to bread it for a change.

I started by mixing maple syrup, Miracle Whip and Dijon mustard.

Then, I mixed some dried bread crumbs with some chili powder.

I rubbed the liquid mixture over the fillets and then sprinkled the bread crumb mixture over the top. I cooked it for 20 minutes in a 375 F oven.

We served it with carrots and home fried potatoes.

The Verdict

I didn’t copy the exact recipe as I can’t recommend the results of this experiment. The flavours went well together but the bread crumb crunch texture doesn’t go well with the nice texture of salmon. Also, the coating didn’t brown as much as I want.

We enjoyed this but not as much as other salmon recipes and I would not recommend it. You can do better!
