Baked Salmon, Great Food Can Be Easy

We had a lazy day and didn’t feel like going to a lot of trouble for supper. Fortunately, great food is about great ingredients, flavours and presentation. It doesn’t have to be a lot of work.
Salmon has a great flavour and doesn’t need a lot of fuss. Even the raggedy piece of pink salmon we bought on sale has a good taste. So, why mess with it if you are feeling lazy.

I brushed the fillet with teriyaki sauce. Don’t drown it. You just want it to enhance the salmon not over power it. I let it sit for 15 minutes and then gave the salmon a light grating of pepper. Again, keep it on the light side.

I fired it into a 400 F oven for 15 minutes until the internal temperature was 150 F. I had a great main course that only took minutes to prepare.

The Verdict

The salmon tasted great with a nice hint of teryaki and pepper. Some steamed rice and a salad and we were done.

You don’t have to buy a package of something or open a can for fast food!
