Martinis are great but have you ever tried a Gibson Cocktail? It is a mixture of gin and vermouth just like a martini but instead of putting olives in it, you use cocktail onions. The Christmas entertaining season is here. I decided I needed a nice seasonal cocktail. The Aviation Santa Sighting is what I came up with. Continue reading Aviation Santa Sighting
I really like an Old Fashioned and made one in a previous post. You’ll note in my prior post that I used a good Canadian rye whisky. However, they always seem to use bourbon when I order one in a bar, even here in Canada. Don’t get me wrong, a nice bourbon Old Fashioned is very tasty. I just prefer Canadian rye. I think it has a smoother richer taste.

As mentioned in my previous post, a friend brought me a bottle of Aviation Gin. I really like it to the point that I think is now my favourite gin.
The first cocktail we made with it is a classic gin cocktail, a Gimlet. Continue reading Aviation Gin Gimlet
