Apparently a monster was created when we had some Sockeye Salmon in a prior post. When She Who Must Be Obeyed came home from shopping she had some nice small sockeye salmon fillet portions. The weather was miserable so I decided to bake them and made Maple Glazed Salmon. Continue reading Maple Glazed Salmon
There is a reason old favourite recipes are favourites. Breaded sole is so tasty and so easy there is a reason it has been around for a long time. The secret to this breaded sole is that there is no bread! I use cracker crumbs. Continue reading Breaded Sole
When you are married to a beautiful woman, you need to treat her with a favourite meal. She Who Must Be Obeyed likes a fillet of sockeye salmon. It is expensive but she is worth it. Continue reading Salmon in the Smoker
Halibut is very expensive here in the Canadian Rockies. However, She Who Must Be Obeyed likes it and you must treat your partner from time to time. We’d been grocery shopping and then worked in the garden. We needed a quick meal but who said an easy quick meal can’t be great. She Who Must Be Obeyed picked some fresh lettuce and strawberries from the garden and made a great salad. I fired up the WSM Mini and hot smoked some salmon. Sigh, nice weather, a great wife and wonderful food makes a great meal. Continue reading Hot Smoked Salmon
It was one of those days. She Who Must Be Obeyed and I had been working in the garden all day and we were beat. We needed something quick for supper. We had salads made and some nice French bread. We had also taken out two single serving fillet pieces of wild sockeye salmon to thaw that morning. The solution was an incredibly easy grilled salmon.
Some food is so easy and so good that you just have to make it again and again. This is one of those dishes.
Not A Successful Experiment
We had some wild Pink salmon fillets. Not the best salmon but still tasty. I have coated salmon with potato flakes and liked it so I decided to bread it for a change. Continue reading Breaded Salmon
