The snow is finally gone and we have some warm weather. It has given me the chance to plant my peas, onions, lettuce and spinach. I also put out some tomato plants but I have to protect them with Cozy Coats so the remaining frosty days don’t get to them.
Also, the garlic I planted last fall had come up before the snow was gone! Now they are a few inches high.
I do love growing my own food! Oh, yeah. She Who Must Be Obeyed planted some flowers. OK. I guess.
I like the taste of ground dry chipotle on bacon. Chipotle is made from dried ground jalapenos and add a nice taste with a mellow heat. I have made it before but I make it here with a video on the process. Continue reading Chipotle Canadian Bacon→
Martinis are great but have you ever tried a Gibson Cocktail? It is a mixture of gin and vermouth just like a martini but instead of putting olives in it, you use cocktail onions. Sounds like very little change, right? Actually, the touch of sweet and sour from the pickled onions gives a mild but significant change to the cocktail. I actually prefer the onions.
