When you have a sourdough starter, it is sort of like a kid or a pet. It wants attention. If you don’t do something with it every week, it stops functioning. As a result, I was looking for a different sourdough recipe to keep my Sourdough Sam going.
I have several but I wanted something different. I found this recipe Sourdough Oatmeal Raisin Muffins online and decided to give it a try.
The link is: Sourdough Oatmeal Raisin Muffins
It mixes up like most muffins, mixing the liquid ingredients together and adding them to the mixed dry ingredients. As a result, it mixes together quite quickly. You divide it into 12 muffins and fire it into a 400 F oven.
They were done after 20 minutes and came out of the tins easily.
These have a nice crisp exterior and a moist interior. They have a good taste without being too sweet.
Sourdough Sam has a new recipe.
