Grilled Steakhouse Potato Wedges

Further to the prior post, we grilled pork last night. As long as the Weber Barbecue was fired up, I decided to grill some potato wedges.
I start with two fair sized baking potatoes. I cut each potato into six wedges. I tossed them in 2 tablespoons olive oil and 2 teaspoons steak spice. I used to use Montreal Steak Spice but I found one with no salt that had the same other flavours and I use it now. Just use your favourite steak spice.

Put them on the top rack in a barbecue that has been preheated to an temperature of 375 F to 425 F. On the Weber that had two of the three burners set at medium. If you don’t have room on a top rack, put the wedges on one part of the barbecue with no flame under it and another burner turned up to get the desired temperature. Cook the potatoes for 10 to 15 minutes per side of the wedge turning when they get a little golden. Brush with olive oil on each turn. Give
them a final sprinkle of steak spice before serving.

The Verdict

These are very easy and taste great. By using a bit of olive oil, they get nicely brown without having near the fat of French fries.
