In case the link goes down, the article gives details of a study that shows eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables makes a measurable difference in mental health and abilities.


Our parents and their parents always knew fruit and vegetables. Who doesn’t remember being told to eat their vegetables to grow up and be big and strong.

OK, it may be a good thing to do studies to find out how and why this happens but if you really want to improve health outcomes, how about doing more in our schools to encourage kids to grow, eat and prepare healthy food like fruits and vegetables.

Whew. I feel better now.

I do have one fault with the study. I eat lots of fruit and vegetables and I am still nuts.
