In my prior reviews and posts, I have recommended my Louisiana Grills LG900 and it gave me two years of great service. However, since the start of this season, the pellets in the hopper that feed the smoker have caught fire three times. I feel you need this information considering my prior recommendation.

The good people sent me some of their rubs to try. I couldn’t think of anything better to try them on than some country style ribs. Continue reading Basic Smoked Country Ribs (Bub ‘n Mutha’s Rub Review)
I do love South Asian curries. However, I don’t make them every day and the recipes usually call for herbs and spices I don’t normally make. What to do, what to do? Continue reading Lucky Masala Meat Masala
I take part in a discussion group at Smoked Meat Forums. A member there manufactures and sells his own line of cures and brine. He was kind enough to send me a package of his salmon brine. Koss Sauce is a new home based business that produces home made Barbecue Sauce in Virginia. I found it in social media and bought a bottle. I reviewed my initial impressions in this link, Koss Sauce.
I wanted to try the last of my first bottle on some back ribs. There was a problem, I had two racks of ribs and only enough sauce left for one rack. I decided to do a head to head comparison with one of my favourite commercial sauces, Sweet Baby Ray’s. We were in for a rib off! Continue reading Koss Sauce Versus Sweet Baby Ray’s – The Rib Off
