The Christmas entertaining season is here. I decided I needed a nice seasonal cocktail. The Aviation Santa Sighting is what I came up with. Continue reading Aviation Santa Sighting
I really like an Old Fashioned and made one in a previous post. You’ll note in my prior post that I used a good Canadian rye whisky. However, they always seem to use bourbon when I order one in a bar, even here in Canada. Don’t get me wrong, a nice bourbon Old Fashioned is very tasty. I just prefer Canadian rye. I think it has a smoother richer taste.

We had enough Aviation gin left for one more cocktail. It was a wonderful warm day. It was time to experiment. Continue reading Aviation Wing Commander Collins

As mentioned in my previous post, a friend brought me a bottle of Aviation Gin. I really like it to the point that I think is now my favourite gin.
The first cocktail we made with it is a classic gin cocktail, a Gimlet. Continue reading Aviation Gin Gimlet
It was time to make another cocktail. We tried a French 75 which dates back to early 1900s in Paris. Apparently, it was called the French 75 in comparison to a 75 mm cannon. Sounds like my kind of drink! Continue reading French 75 Cocktail
We are back to some of the more classic cocktails. The El Presidente Martini is a drink that has been around for a long time. There are several different drinks called an El Presidente, this is a simple martini version. Continue reading El Presidente Martini
