Air Fryer Teriyaki Beef Kebabs

It was cold and I was wanting to keep warm. I had been advised by a higher power that there would be beef kebabs. I decided I would try and use the Cosori Air Fryer to make the kebabs.

I started by cubing a strip loin steak to 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes. I mixed the beef cubes with 50 ml (1/4 cup) teriyaki sauce, 25 ml (2 tbsp) Hoisin sauce and 3 ml (1/2 tsp) coarse ground black pepper. I used my own teriyaki sauce but bottled is fine.

I would normally marinade them for 4 hours, but I was short on time and used my FoodSaver marinade accessory. This let me marinade thoroughly in an hour.

I put six cubes of beef on a bamboo skewer alternating with a slice of onion and red pepper. Then I cut the skewer in half to make shorter 3 cube skewers.

I preheated the air fryer to 400 F (205 C) and sprayed the basket with baking spray. I put the skewers in and cooked for 4 minutes.

I flipped the skewers and cooked to desired doneness. For rare 125 F (53 C), for medium rare 135 F (57 C) internal temperature.

Let them sit for 5 minutes and serve.

The Verdict

These were moist, tender, and tasty. The marinade gave a wonderful taste. However, they remind me of when I was young, and my parents would broil a steak.

There was nothing wrong with them, but I do like more char on my steaks. I prefer grilled. I will still use this method in extreme weather when I am feeling soft.
