Cabelas Whiskey Steak

This is the second of three bottles of Cabela’s seasonings I got for Christmas from my brother, niece and their family.

I sprinkled a generous amount on a piece of sirloin and grilled it to medium.

She Who Must Be Obeyed prefers her steak sliced thin like a roast. I like it in a slab. So we had it sliced thin.

The Verdict

I was surprised how much I liked this. I usually make my own seasoning mixes but I do buy some pre-blended seasoning mixes for convenience. I usually have some Montreal Steak Spice on hand. This has the garlic flavour I like from Montreal Steak Spice but has a more southwestern taste. It isn’t overly hot but does have a strong flavour that complements the beef with a nice touch of heat. I think this would be great on a smoked roast or brisket as well.

I would buy this for myself.
