Quick Old Bay Grilled Salmon

Quick Old Bay Grilled Salmon at oldfarguy.ca

It was one of those days. She Who Must Be Obeyed and I had been working in the garden all day and we were beat. We needed something quick for supper. We had salads made and some nice French bread. We had also taken out two single serving fillet pieces of wild sockeye salmon to thaw that morning. The solution was an incredibly easy grilled salmon.

I dotted each fillet with a teaspoon of butter and sprinkled Old Bay Seasoning over them. I put them on a preheated to medium heat grill and cooked them to an internal temperature of 145F. It only took 7 minutes on my grill but the time will vary depending on the heat of your grill and the thickness of the salmon.

The Verdict

This is so easy and so quick, it has no right to taste this good. The fat from the salmon mixed with the butter and made a moist tasty piece of fish. Of course, the Old Bay is excellent on salmon.

This whole meal was done in under 15 minutes. I call that fast food!

The Old Fat Guy.

    1. Thanks, Little Kitchen. This is ultra easy but if you don’t like salmon, I suggest you put in a bit more work and try this Peppered Salmon. It makes a salmon that even my friends who don’t like salmon love.

  1. I’m not a big fan of Salmon, maybe that’s because I don’t have a recipe like this one. Looks so good, I’ll have to try one more time.
    Thanks, Sam

  2. I am going to hunt down some Old Bay Seasoning this weekend and give this a whirl….The combination of spices in the seasoning sound delicious!
