Apple Crisp From Free Apples

Apple Crisp

A couple of years ago, a sapling of some kind showed up on the edge of our cultivated yard and the forested area in back. We didn’t pay much attention. Then, some nice pink blossoms showed up. This year, about twenty medium apples grew. We have an apple tree we didn’t plant.

I decided to make some apple crisp from the free apples. I tried this recipe from the internet:

Apple Crisp

The Verdict: The recipe is definitely easy. The apples don’t make a very deep layer but the crisp part is nice. However, there is a little too much nutmeg. This is an ok recipe but I have made better apple crisp and will not likely make it again.
