Oatmeal Shortbread, A New Tradition

Oatmeal Shortbread

She Who Must Be Obeyed makes great shortbread. She always has. This year she tried a new recipe from Robin Hood. It is a winner.

The recipe is at:

Robin Hood Oatmeal Shortbread

The Verdict

These have the melt in the mouth texture of shortbread with the chew of a New Brunswick Oatcake. I love them. She Who Must Be Obeyed is complaining because she has just made the third batch of them. Apparently, I am eating them too quickly. Sigh, she is likely right this time.

I will continue to obey the missus just to get her to make these every year.

  1. She who must be obeyed sounds like a very wise woman. I can’t wait to try her delicious sounding cookies. The combo of shortbread and oatmeal is so unusual but I think they would be amazing.

    1. Thanks. I am indeed lucky to have found her. These cookies have become very popular among our friends. I am sure you will like them.
